Sepp Blatter Resigns as FIFA President after 17 years

Sepp Blatter has served as president of FIFA soccer’s governing body for 17 years. He is considered one of the most powerful people in global sports. Few days ago allegations of corruption was linked to his administration. He announced his resignation on Tuesday via a speech delivered at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich. the report:

Last Wednesday, police raided a five-star hotel, where seven soccer officials were arrested and held for extradition to the United States on corruption charges. The arrests were followed by a detailed explanation by United States Justice Department officials on their investigation into FIFA. And from there came an initial dismissal by FIFA of the widespread nature of the charges; a defiant Mr. Blatter winning re-election to a fifth four-year term as president and his claiming that he would pilot FIFA’s battered boat “to shore”; a linking by United States officials of Mr. Blatter’s top deputy to a series of payments that are believed to be bribes; and, finally, just before 7 p.m. Central European Time on Tuesday, Mr. Blatter’s announcement that he would step down from the organization he has served, in various roles, for 40 years.

Suicide Bomber hailing Buhari before detonating the bomb in Maiduguri

The Police in Borno said five persons died when a suicide bomber attacked an abattoir in Maiduguri on Tuesday. The Commissioner of Police in the State,Aderemi Opadokun, stated this when he spoke with journalists in Maiduguri. Opadokun said the attack occurred at about 11.30 a.m.

“A suicide bomber, who was shouting “Sai Buhari”, and dancing in the abattoir, detonated Improvised Explosive Device strapped on his body when people had gathered around him. Five people, including himself, died, while eight others sustained injuries,” he said.

Opadokun added that policemen were mobilised to the scene to evacuate the corpses and the convey the injured to the hospital, adding that investigation into the blast was ongoing.

Newly appointed governor of Lagos state visits accident scene

Akinwunmi Ambode on Tuesday visited the scene of the ghastly accident involving a fuel tanker that was involved in an accident and burst into flames, leading to the damages worth millions. He said: 

“Around 1 a.m, a tanker loaded with 33,000 litres of petrol fell from the Ipaja bridge and spilled all its contents covering almost five streets here. In the last four hours, all our emergency agencies have been effectively on the ground and we have been able to manage and control consequences of what 33,000 litres of petrol would have done to this neighbourhood. Thank God, there has not been any loss of lives, but again, there are victims whose shops were destroyed. As of the last count, the agencies have been able to report that everything has been put under control. We’ve also recorded two other incidences, just like this one in other parts of Lagos overnight; one in Badagry and the other one in the Ojo area.  It would also mean that our tanker drivers have to start to do something about their operations. We cannot continue to record loss of lives and property because our tanker drivers ‎are not disciplined.”

Caitlyn Jenner talks about her marriage to ex wife Kris Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner who revealed her female side few days ago told Vanity Fair how Kris Jenner mistreated her when she was still a man.

According to Caitlyn, “The first 15 years I felt she needed me more because I was the breadwinner,’
‘Then really around the show, when that hit and she was running the whole show and getting credit for it and she had her own money, she didn’t need me as much from that standpoint… I think in a lot of ways she became less tolerant of me. ‘A lot of times she wasn’t very nice. People would see how I got mistreated. She controlled the money, all that kind of stuff.”

Kris Jenner also shared her own story, she said “He was married to me and he wasn’t who he wanted to be so he was miserable… All I was doing was working very hard for my family so that we could all have a wonderful future, and he was p***ed off.”At the end of my relationship with Bruce he definitely had a lot of social anxiety… That was one of the reasons we were in a struggle at the end.”

Kim Kardashian For Glamour Magazine, Speaks On Second Pregnancy and Fertility Issues!

Yesterday, Kim Kardashian revealed that she is pregnant with baby number two.

The reality star in an interview with Glamour Magazine, July issue shared details about her pregnancy struggles and how she went from one specialist to other thanks to her fertility challenges. “We are beyond excited”, Kim told Glamour.

“I didn’t know that I was going to be so open with [my fertility challenges],” she admits. “But meeting people at my fertility doctor’s office who are going through the same things I’m going through, I thought, ‘Why not share my story? It’s been really emotional. One doctor told me I would need my uterus removed after I had another baby—I could only have one more. One was like, ‘You should get a surrogate.’ The other one was like, ‘Oh, no, you’ll be fine.’ Then I called my doctor, and he’s like, ‘You know what? I believe—we’ll get through it.’ There are definitely times when I walked out [of the doctor’s office] hysterically crying, and other times when I was like, ‘OK, everything’s looking good—it’s going to be this month!'”“The waiting and waiting has been a roller coaster,” she adds. “When I found out I was pregnant [with North West], I was going through an awful divorce, Kanye and I had just been dating for seven months—granted, we knew each other for a decade—and I was like, ‘I can’t do this. It’s not the right time.’ But then I figured, If I’m in my 30s and I’m not ready, I’ll never be ready. So it’s been the biggest lesson, and the biggest joy of my life.” “North has taught me patience. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for her. And nothing I wouldn’t do for my husband. She’s empowered us to want to be the best parents and the best spouses,” the E! star says. “Today North put on these Manolo heels of mine and was walking perfectly around my closet. I sent Kanye a video of her; he was like, ‘Tell her to stop! She cannot grow up! She cannot wear your heels.'”
