Flamboyant boxer, Floyd Mayweather is retiring from boxing and he will not be coming back.
The Forbes’ most expensive sportman has had a successful career run with 49 wins, including the highly publicised match between the undefeated champion and Manny Pacquiao.
The retirement announcement, which was made by Mayweather Promotions CEO, Leonard Ellerbe on Monday, has put to bed any chance of a return a rematch with Manny Pacquiao or a bout with Amir Khan
Ellerbe made the claim on Twitter and tweeted:
‘Floyd Mayweather is RETIRED, end of discussion.’
This news came barely hours after Mayweather purchased another Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse worth $3.5m which he flaunted on Instagram with the following caption: ‘My new 2015 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse $3,498,000.’
