Oscar Pistorius has been released from prison. He was released on Monday in South Africa and placed under house arrest. The former Olympic athlete had been in prison since October last year, when a judge sentenced him to five years for killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in a Culpable Homicide.
He shot his girfriend who was a law school graduate and also a model on valentine's Day 2013. He said he mistook her for an intruder.
Last week a South African Parole Board said it had approved his placement under house arrest and correctional supervision for four years.
