He edged out Yakubu Dogara to become APC's sole candidate, Yakubu Dogara's aggrieved supporters walked out of the primaries.Aggrieved members say they weren't given sufficient notice for the primaries. APC has selected the member representing Surulere Federal Constituency, Lagos in the House of representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila to run for the Office of speaker of the House.
